Fossil Orthoceras
Orthoceras are prehistoric cephlopods related to the modern day squid, cuttlefish, and octopus. They are found in the Sahara Desert, Morocco.
Cephalopods are characterized by a distinct head in close association with a foot that has been modified into tentacles.  They also have an internal or external shell that is divided into chambers.  They are a straight shelled mollusk squid like animal, with this type being a Geisenoceras, which developed 350 to 500 million years ago.
